On Saturday, the Finance Minister said, "Investments in Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme is already eligible for deduction under Section 80C. All payments to the beneficiaries including interest payment on deposit will also be fully exempt." Sukanya Samriddhi Scheme is a new entrant in the small-savings schemes category aimed at encouraging savings for a girl child's education and marriage. Ramesh Gholap, known as Ramu, Mahagoan village in Barshi Taluka, Solapur district of Maharashtra His father Gorakh Gholap was a cycle mechanic. Ramu’s left leg was affected by polio. His father health is not good because of constant drinking. So Ramu’s mother Vimal Gholap started selling bangles in nearby villages to support the family.
